ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office says the man was fatally shot a teenager in a St. Paul park last month won’t face charges.

Court documents say 16-year-old Lavauntai Broadbent had a gun and was trying to rob the man when he shot the teen July 31 in Shadow Falls Park.

Minnesota Public Radio News (https://bit.ly/1gYs8A3 ) reports the man who shot Broadbent is identified in court documents only by his initials and had a valid permit to carry a gun. He administered first aid to the boy after the shooting while others with the suspect fled the scene. .

Four other teenagers have been charged with attempted robbery and other crimes.
