SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Salt Lake City police have placed a deputy chief on administrative as part of a misconduct investigation.

Interim Police Chief Mike Brown said in a statement Thursday that the department takes misconduct allegations seriously but did not offer any information about the allegations involving Deputy Chief Krista Dunn.

Department spokeswoman Veronica Montoya would not say when Dunn was placed on leave or offer further details about the allegations.

The Deseret News reports Dunn is not a certified police officer but works in the department’s administrative arm and manages its grants.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports she has worked for the department for 14 years.

Dunn did not have a publicly listed telephone number where she could be reached for comment Thursday.
