STERLINGTON, La. (AP) - A state audit finds the town of Sterlington operated with a deficit in 2014.

The Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s Office says the audit showed the town had $1,437,268 in revenue and $1,451,167 in expenditures.

Revenues and expenditures leave a $13,899 deficit, and after including the balance of transfers in and out, the deficit increases to $118,432.

In its responses, The News-Star reports (https://tnsne.ws/1KxA02Y) the town said it would to rectify all of the audit’s findings.
