OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) - Baltimore County Police say one driver was killed and another injured in a collision with an emergency services vehicle in Owings Mills.

It happened about 3 p.m. Thursday on Reisterstown Road near St. Thomas Lane. Police say a supervisor with Baltimore County Emergency Medical Services was driving to a priority call when his SUV collided with a car.

Authorities don’t know if the EMS vehicle had emergency lights and sirens activated.

The driver of the car, 72-year-old Delores Scott, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her dog, which was in the car with her, was also killed.

Officers say the EMS supervisor was taken to a local hospital for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation.

This story has been corrected to show the victim’s first name was Delores, not Doris, and that she was 72, not 59.
