FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Three people with ties to North Dakota State University are competing next week at the IAAF World Championships.

The event is considered one of the most prestigious track and field meets outside of the Olympics. This year’s championships are in Beijing, China.

Bison runner Erin Teschuk will compete in the steeplechase, NDSU assistant coach Trevor Barry in the high jump and Bison alum Riley Dolezal in the javelin.

The World Championships begin Saturday and run through Aug. 30.
