CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - A Chandler karate instructor accused of child molestation has pleaded guilty in the case.

Maricopa County prosecutors say Scott Alan Flood also pleaded guilty Friday to aggravated assault and voyeurism.

He’s scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 21.

Flood was arrested on suspicion of two counts of child molestation in June 2012 when he was 47.

Authorities say Flood had been instructing karate to 3-to 6-year-olds in the Chandler area for the past decade.

Chandler police say a 5-year-old victim told them Flood allegedly touched her inappropriately at school and he told her not to tell her parents.

The other victim’s allegations stem from a case in 2010 in Tempe.

Tempe police say those allegations didn’t meet the statutory requirements for a sex crime, so they investigated them as an assault.
