FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A Presbyterian pastor from York, Pennsylvania, has been charged in a prostitution sting in Frederick County, Maryland.

The Frederick News-Post (https://bit.ly/1NqEpuI ) reports the Rev. Suler Acosta of City Church York was charged with three offenses, including knowingly soliciting prostitution, in an investigation the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.

The 42-year-old Acosta declined to comment when reached by the newspaper Thursday. A call to the church Friday by The Associated Press wasn’t immediately returned.

The church website lists Acosta as organizing pastor and a married father of two.

The sheriff’s office says Acosta is among seven men who responded to an online advertisement by going to meet a female deputy posing as a prostitute. The sheriff’s office says investigators established probable cause to believe they were there to solicit sex.
