JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a piece of equipment fell on a worker at a Jacksonville company, killing him.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Sgt. Craig Waldrup says rescue workers responded to Capps Land Management Thursday night after a worker found another employee under either a back hoe or an end loader.

The Florida Times-Union (https://bit.ly/1MCdzyk ) says the employee was working on the equipment by himself when it apparently fell on him. He was declared dead at the scene.

No one witnessed the accident. But Waldrup says no foul play is suspected.

The company is in the land clearing business. The employee’s name wasn’t released.

Waldrup says the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate.
