DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A man wanted by police for a killing in Minneapolis has been arrested in Des Moines.

The Des Moines Register (https://dmreg.co/1HZiinj ) reports that 23-year-old LeShannon Merrett was arrested late Wednesday after a brief foot chase. Police say he is wanted for second-degree homicide in Minnesota’s Hennepin County.

He is being held in the Polk County Jail on charges including possession of a weapon as a felon, trafficking in stolen weapons and interference with official acts.
