GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) - Law enforcement officials say more than 200 pounds of marijuana has been seized during several traffic stops in Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol says three separate traffic stops in Hamilton County on Thursday resulted in the confiscated drugs.

The driver of one vehicle was stopped on suspicion of speeding. More than 100 pounds of marijuana was found in the car trunk.

The driver of a second vehicle was stopped on suspicion of a stop sign violation. More than 20 pounds of marijuana and a loaded gun were found in the car trunk.

A third driver was stopped on suspicion of failing to signal. Authorities found more than 80 pounds of marijuana in the car trunk.

Authorities say they had probable cause to search each vehicle.
