BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - An FBI agent with experience investigating Internet and international terrorism has been chosen to lead the agency’s Buffalo office.

FBI Director James Comey announced the appointment of Adam Cohen as special agent in charge of the upstate New York office on Thursday.

Cohen most recently served as the section chief for the FBI’s Counterterrorism Internet Operations Section, managing investigations of terrorists’ use of the Internet.

He began his FBI career in the New York City field office in 1997.

Cohen will report to Buffalo in early October.
