DETROIT (AP) - Police say two people have been arrested after a young woman missing since arranging a meeting with a man online was found fatally stabbed on Detroit’s west side.

The Detroit News reports Oak Park police confirmed the arrests in the Detroit suburb on Thursday but didn’t release additional information. Detroit police are handling the case.

The Wayne County medical examiner’s office identified the body found Monday as that of Cynthia Worthy, saying she died of multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Police earlier said Worthy was last seen at her home on the afternoon of Aug. 14. Worthy’s family said that she left and was supposed to meet with a man that she had met through Backpage.com, which carries personal ads for people looking for sex.
