LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say a woman wasn’t in a crosswalk when she was struck and killed by a pickup truck on a busy stretch of Boulder Highway.

Detective Karl Tomaso says the unidentified woman was pronounced dead at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center after the 3 p.m. Thursday crash near Sandhill Road.

That’s just several miles southeast of downtown, and just north of U.S. 95.

Tomaso identified the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado as 38-year-old Walter Restrepo of Sacramento, California. He wasn’t charged.

The incident was the 64th fatal traffic crash in Las Vegas police jurisdiction this year.
