GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Police say a UPS worker in north Florida took an expensive laptop computer while at work and tried to sell it online.

The Gainesville Police Department says 20-year-old James Espoir Cloutier was arrested Thursday and will be charged with grand theft.

Cloutier is accused of stealing an Apple laptop while loading packages during his job at a UPS facility in Gainesville.

Police say records show the Apple box containing the computer was scanned Aug. 14, but that on Aug. 17 the box was found empty.

The Gainesville Sun (https://bit.ly/1LnEdcv ) reports a detective saw a Craigslist ad for a computer matching the description.

The detective posed as a potential buyer and met with the seller, who police say turned out to be Cloutier.

It’s not know if he has a lawyer.
