ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Rochester police say a body found at the bottom of the base of the Lower Falls of the Genesee River has been identified.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Pahal Rai of Rochester. His body was found Wednesday, and police say the victim likely is the man who fell into the river last Sunday evening.

Police say that man was reported by others to have been seen leaning over the falls attempting to splash water on his face when he lost his balance.

Cause of death is still being determined.
