GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) - A 23-year-old Los Angeles-area man has been arrested on suspicion of using his job as an Uber driver to sell drugs.

Glendale police said in a statement Friday that 23-year-old Artak Avakian is free after posting $30,000 bail.

Police say a search of his house revealed three rifles, a shotgun, a pistol, hundreds of prescription and ecstasy pills, bags of cocaine and methamphetamine, psychedelic mushrooms and nearly $20,000 in cash.

They say Avakian used his position driving for the ride-hailing service to sell drugs for two years.

Neither Avakian or an attorney for him could be reached for comment.
