NELSONVILLE, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio parole board wants more information about a man who disappeared from a prison camp in 1959 while serving time for manslaughter and was found earlier this year in Florida.

Prisons spokeswoman JoEllen Smith said the board held a closed meeting Tuesday with Frank Freshwaters and referred his case for additional review with no decision expected for a few weeks.

Investigators who tracked down the 79-year-old widower in May say he was living off Social Security benefits under an alias at a weathered trailer in rural Brevard County, Florida.

The Akron man had been imprisoned in 1959 for one to 20 years after hitting a man with a vehicle and violating probation. He was found in West Virginia in 1975, but the governor refused to extradite him.
