CLAYTON, N.C. (AP) - A deaf and blind poodle is back with her North Carolina family after being found in Massachusetts.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reports (https://bit.ly/1Lw88iW) that 16-year-old Coco was reunited Tuesday with her family.

Coco had been missing from her home in Concord for nearly a month and was found in Belchertown, Massachusetts.

Coco’s owners said they had let the dog out to use the bathroom briefly and she vanished.

Animal control officer Anna Kuralt-Fenton found the dog Aug. 9 and posted a picture on Facebook.

Someone called and said a neighbor had spotted the lost dog in North Carolina and had picked it up and taken it to Massachusetts. The neighbor did not reveal the woman’s name so she won’t be charged with taking and abandoning the dog.
