GREENVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A double funeral is set for a western Pennsylvania police officer and his son who were killed in an off-duty crash last week.

Forty-one-year-old Jeremiah Christner and his 17-year-old son, Jeremiah Jr., died in the crash just before 10 a.m. Thursday along Greenville-Sheakleyville Road.

Christner was a 10-year-veteran of the Greenville-West Salem Police Department, but was not on duty when the crash occurred.

State police say Christner lost control of his sport-utility vehicle while rounding a curve and collided with an oncoming truck.

Their funeral is set for Wednesday at Living Word Church in Greenville. That’s about 75 miles north of Pittsburgh.
