DETROIT (AP) - Authorities say a shoot-out in which roughly 50 shots were fired has left one man dead and another critically hurt in Detroit.

Television stations WDIV and WXYZ and WWJ-AM report the shootings happened early Thursday morning on the city’s west side. The vehicle the men were sitting in was covered in bullet holes, and casings were strewn about the street.

Investigators say a young man is in critical condition at a hospital.

Police are interviewing people in the neighborhood.
