DENVER (AP) - Colorado authorities are searching for a semi-tractor trailer that struck four bridges on northbound Interstate 25 in downtown Denver, causing traffic delays.
According to The Denver Post (https://goo.gl/IPFuYl ), Denver police say the trailer hit the bridges Thursday afternoon and that it’s unclear why the driver didn’t stop. Transportation officials temporarily closed three of the highway lanes but they were reopened by about 4 p.m.
Transportation officials say the trailer struck the bottom of bridges on 23rd Avenue and Speer Boulevard, and 20th Street and 84th Avenue. Bridge inspectors say the structures are safe.
The vehicle that authorities are searching for is described as a white truck with a yellow excavator on a flatbed trailer.
