HENNIKER, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has issued a cyanobacteria warning for Keyser Pond in Henniker.

The department says direct contact with water containing bluish-greenish globs is discouraged.

The warning, issued Thursday, will remain in effect until future samples reveal the bacteria levels have diminished.

Health effects include irritation of skin and mucous membranes, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Chronic effects include liver and central nervous system damage.
