SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department has revived an 18-year-old cold case, seeking new information about the disappearance of a Rancho Cordova woman.

Forty-one-year-old Doris Inzunza was last seen by family members on Aug. 26, 1997. She was reported missing after she failed to show up for work that day and did not return home that evening.

Sheriff’s officials said this week that her disappearance was deemed suspicious and foul play appears to have been involved. Authorities are asking anyone with possible information to contact detectives.

The Sacramento Bee reported Wednesday (https://bit.ly/1U85cR5 ) that Inzunza was a volunteer for Survivors of Stalking, an organization she co-founded.
