ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - A man accused of killing one person and injuring three others outside an Orangeburg nightclub has been arrested in Colorado.

Orangeburg County sheriff’s spokesman Richard Walker said in a statement that 30-year-old Nazdric Gates of Mount Airy, North Carolina, was arrested Tuesday night in Colorado Springs.

Walker said Gates is charged with murder and three counts of attempted murder in South Carolina. He also faces a weapons charge.

Gates is charged in the Aug. 16 shooting death of 22—year-old Christavious Darby, as well as the wounding of three other men at the club.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said was not a part of the altercation at the nightclub.

Ravenell said plans are being made to bring Gates back to South Carolina to face charges.
