CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A woman accused of stealing more than $30,000 from Casper Youth Baseball while working as the organization’s office manager has been sentenced to probation.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1JypLe5) Caitlyn Jo Tolliver pleaded guilty to grand larceny in May. At her sentencing Wednesday, the judge said he believed Tolliver deserved prison time, but he ordered her to serve five years of probation to comply with her plea agreement.

Tolliver used the organization’s funds to issue paychecks to herself and make personal purchases, including a bicycle, dog kennel and tires. Prosecutors said investigators believed Tolliver stole close to $65,000.

Authorities began investigating the case in April 2014 after a representative from the organization discovered several unauthorized charges.

Tolliver has been ordered to pay $35,000 in restitution to the sports group.
