PHOENIX (AP) - Police say they’ve discovered the bodies of a man and woman inside a luxury home near the Arizona Biltmore Resort in northeast Phoenix.

Officers responded to a residence in the area of 2700 East Arizona Biltmore Circle for a welfare check about 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Police entered the house and found the bodies of a 75-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man.

They say the man is believed to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but it’s unclear how the woman died.

It’s also not immediately known if the man and woman are related.
