TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Two freight trains collided in Tacoma around 11 a.m. Friday, causing a fuel leak from punctured engines.

KIRO-TV reports (https://is.gd/AY6YRH ) one person suffered minor injuries.

Tacoma fire officials say about 1,500 gallons of fuel has leaked as a result of the collision and both engines were compromised.

The News Tribune reports (https://is.gd/U4Ozpf ) the trains were heading north on separate tracks and apparently collided while trying to merge.
