LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) - An 18-year-old man has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy in La Crosse.

Deshawn Randall of La Crosse was charged Thursday in the Aug. 21 death of George Miller. According to a criminal complaint, Randall shot Miller during an argument as Miller sat in a car.

The complaint says the gun jammed and Miller ran, but that Randall went after him and shot him several more times. Police say Randall was arrested later that day after a standoff with police.

According to the complaint, Randall told investigators that Miller shot at him about a week earlier.

Randall is being held in jail on a $1 million cash bond. WEAU-TV (https://bit.ly/1i6ROvi ) reports a public defender representing him declined to comment.
