MESA, Ariz. (AP) - A Mesa man has pleaded not guilty after being accused of inappropriately touching a young girl and recording and saving multiple photos and videos to his cellphone.

Daniel Boyd Divit was arraigned Thursday in Maricopa County Superior Court.

The 51-year-old Divit was arrested Aug. 9 and booked into jail on suspicion of 31 counts of sexual exploitation and sexual conduct with a minor.

According to court documents, Divit would watch the 2 ½-year-old girl on Saturdays while her mother went to work.

The mother reportedly found multiple videos and pictures on Divit’s cellphone earlier this month and some of the images dated back to July.

Davit’s next scheduled court date is an initial pretrial conference on Oct. 9.
