CHALMETTE, La. (AP) - Plaquemines Parish narcotics agents have seized nearly 200 pounds of cocaine.

Sheriff Lonnie Greco said in a news release the location of Thursday’s seizure was been withheld because of the ongoing investigation.

Greco said the estimated wholesale value of the drugs is $4.5 million, and the street value is estimated to be $18 million.

He said it was the largest seizure of cocaine in the history of Plaquemines Parish.

The news release did not mention any arrest.
