DES PLAINES, Ill. (AP) - Authorities have identified two men found dead after a hazardous materials incident at a suburban Chicago town house.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office said Friday that 53-year-old Hong Kyq Kim and 83-year-old John Tae Kim were pronounced dead in the home Thursday evening.

A woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

It’s still not clear what hazardous material was involved and authorities say the deaths remain under investigation. Emergency crews went to the home in unincorporated Des Plaines on Thursday afternoon after a call for help that there were people in distress in the garage of the house.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Department says four officers at the scene had trouble breathing and were hospitalized for evaluation. They were later released.
