VENTURA, Calif. (AP) - The trial for a California woman accused of killing her Olympic medalist husband has been delayed to October.

The Ventura County Star reports (https://bit.ly/1PC7T6z ) that 58-year-old Jane Laud appeared in Ventura County Superior Court Thursday for a motions hearing. The trial was scheduled to start in September, but the judge granted a defense motion to move it back to Oct. 13.

Laut is accused of killing Dave Laut in 2009. Laut was a star shot-putter who won a bronze medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. They were high school sweethearts and married for 29 years.
