LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska deer hunters can enter a lottery to win the chance to hunt in the Central Platte River Valley this fall.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission plans to allow 46 people to hunt deer on Platter River Recreation Access lands Nov. 16-22.

The land involved in the lotter will be closed to all access from Oct. 1 to Nov. 15 to protect endangered and threatened wildlife.

Anyone interested in the hunting lottery can apply at the commission’s Kearney office before Sept. 30.

Hunters are required to obtain the appropriate deer permit and habitat stamp if they win the lottery.
