COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Two of the candidates seeking the GOP presidential nomination are participating in a rally at the South Carolina Statehouse this weekend.

Ted Cruz and Rick Perry are both slated to attend Saturday’s event. Organizers say pastors from across the state are planning to discuss marriage and religious liberty.

They say they planned this event after a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision regarding same-sex marriage.

U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is also scheduled to address the crowd.
