NEW ORLEANS (AP) - In just its second season in the Southland Bowling League Conference, Tulane’s bid to host the league’s 2015-16 championship has been accepted.

The tournament will take place March 25-26, with a practice day to be held on Thursday, March 24 at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner.

Tulane coach Hayley Veitch, in a statement Friday, said they look forward to showcasing the competitiveness of the league to the area.

The championships will be the second tournament hosted by the Green Wave on the season. Tulane also will hold the Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Bowling Invitational from Oct. 17-19 at the Kenner facility.
