BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota’s congressional delegation says six western North Dakota airports are getting nearly $10 million for improvements.

The money from the U.S. Department of Transportation is slated for airports in Williston, Stanley, Tioga, Garrison, Dickinson and Mercer County.

The Tioga airport is getting the bulk of the money, with $5 million slated for construction of a taxiway and apron.

The Garrison Municipal Airport is getting $2.7 million to rehabilitate the airport’s existing runway.

Sloulin Field International Airport in Williston will use $1.3 million for work that includes rehabilitating the facility’s apron and taxiway.



The delegation says $419,400 is going to Mercer County Regional Airport and $73,357 is going to the Stanley Municipal Airport for similar improvements.

Dickinson’s Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport is getting $300,000 for taxiway improvements.
