INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Several streets in downtown Indianapolis streets have been blocked off because of large amounts of steam pouring out of manhole covers.

Indianapolis Fire Department officials say the steam is coming from underground Citizens Energy equipment. They say there are no chemicals in the air.

Citizens Energy Group issued a release saying water from a main leaked onto a steam line, causing steam to rise from manholes. It says the streets are blocked so the main can be repaired.
