MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A grain elevator in Minot is marking a century of service.

CHS SunPrairie began as the Minot Farmers Cooperative Elevator Co. in 1915. It has continued operations through the Great Depression, two world wars, and devastating Souris River floods in 1969 and 2011.

General Manager Brad Haugeberg (HOW’-guh-burg) tells KXMC-TV (https://bit.ly/1U2nKC7 ) that if he wasn’t working for the elevator, he’d be the fourth generation of his farming family to be a patron.

The elevator plans centennial celebrations on Sept. 24 and during its annual meeting in November.
