HARSENS ISLAND, Mich. (AP) - The propeller and anchor of a ship that sank in 1903 are now on display at a museum on Harsens Island.

The parts from the steamer John N. Glidden have a new home in the collection of the Harsens Island and St. Clair Flats Historical Society Museum. Society president Bernardo Licata tells the Times Herald of Port Huron (https://bwne.ws/1KWoQoX ) that the propeller and anchor were donated by a long-time resident of Harsens Island.

The John N. Glidden sank following a collision in a canal at the St. Clair Flats.

Harsens Island is about 30 miles northeast of Detroit, at the mouth of the St. Clair River.
