DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) - An Alabama man is going on trial in the roadway death of a woman who was rammed with a car and run over west of Atlanta last year.

WAGA-TV (https://on-ajc.com/1HnRmgy ) reports jury selection is set for Tuesday in the trial of 24-year-old Dewey Green of Pelham, Alabama.

Green is charged with murder in the death of 53-year-old Janice Pitts in June 2014.

Authorities say Green read-ended Pitts’ car with this truck and then hit her vehicle twice more.

Police say Green accelerated when the woman got out to check the damage, trapping her between the vehicles. Investigators say Green then ran over Pitts as he drove away.

The defendant says he doesn’t remember anything, and a judge is considering whether to let his attorneys submit evidence about a possible seizure.
