MEDIA, Pa. (AP) - A former second grade teacher at a suburban Philadelphia school accused of having abused female students has been sentenced to one to two years in prison.

WPVI-TV (https://6abc.cm/1P4YeWA ) reports that 55-year-old Paul Hochschwender of Broomall was also ordered Tuesday to spend the next 10 years on probation and register for life as a sexually violent predator.

Hochschwender entered no contest pleas earlier this year in Delaware County Court to institutional sexual assault and corruption of minors. He has already served about seven months of his sentence.

Authorities have accused him of inappropriately touching as many as a dozen young girls at Darby Township Elementary School in Glenolden.
