NEW YORK (AP) - A funeral service will be held Wednesday for a New York City sanitation enforcement sergeant who died on the job.

Frank Musella died July 29 on Staten Island. He was 37.

The department says his was the first line-of-duty death in the 34-year history of its enforcement division.

The medical examiner said the Brooklyn resident suffered from heart disease.

Musella, hired in October 2006, is survived by his wife and two sons, ages 8 and 4.

Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered flags to be flown at half-staff until Musella is buried.

His service will be held at the Most Precious Blood Church in Brooklyn.
