KIRKWOOD, N.Y. (AP) - A Binghamton-area company that provides sales and marketing support for businesses plans to add about 600 jobs over five years under a $17 million economic project.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday announced that Modern Marketing Concepts, Inc. will expand at an idled building in Kirkwood, near the Pennsylvania line. Construction on multi-tenant, 42-acre site is set to begin this month and be completed early next year.

State support for the project at the former Link Flight Simulation building includes a $5 million grant from Empire State Development, a $5 million Job Development Authority loan and $800,000 in tax credits.

Modern Marketing Concepts, which employs 310, works with clients in the healthcare and building materials industry.
