GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) - Police say a man fatally shot a woman at a gas station in Germantown before killing himself.

Montgomery County police spokeswoman Natasha Plotnikov says the shooting occurred shortly after 12:20 p.m. Tuesday. She says police are investigating it as a murder-suicide. She says the shooting was domestic in nature.

Police say the woman arrived at the gas station in the same car as the gunman and another woman. Police say the victim was shot while sitting in the car. The other woman was uninjured and is being questioned.

The gunman was pronounced dead at the scene and the weapon was recovered. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died.
