MUKILTEO, Wash. (AP) - Two people were injured in a fire that destroyed their home in Mukilteo.

The Daily Herald reports ( https://bit.ly/1IY8MaZ ) that a second house was also seriously damaged as the fire spread Wednesday afternoon in the Harbour Pointe neighborhood.

Mukilteo Fire Chief Chris Alexander says a man and a woman who live in the destroyed house were taken to a hospital. The man had burns to his hands, and both had suspected smoke inhalation.

At least two vehicles in the neighborhood also burned.
