MACON, Ga. (AP) - A new distribution center for a package delivery business, expected to initially employ about 200 workers, is being planned in south Bibb County.

The Macon Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1E7ju7P ) reports that officials have not revealed which company will be building the center, with the company currently being referred to as Project Ryan.

Macon Economic Development Commission Senior Vice President Pat Topping says he could not yet talk about the project.

According to a statement filed with the commission, the company has applied to build a 248,370-square-foot distribution center on a 33-acre parcel.

The site plan submitted with the application includes 405 auto parking spaces.

The facility would be built in the I-75 Business Park off Hartley Bridge Road. It is unclear when the distribution center is expected to open.
