GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - The Glendale Municipal Airport has a new airport administrator.

City officials announced Tuesday that Kenn Potts has been hired for the job at the 477-acre airport.

Glendale’s current airport administrator - Walt Fix - is retiring, but will stay on as a contract employee for several months to assist with the transition.

Potts has spent nearly nine years with the Arizona Department of Transportation, in the Multi Modal Division’s Aeronautics Group.

He has previously managed airports in Michigan, Vermont and North Carolina in career that has spanned more than 25 years.
