MILWAUKEE (AP) - A traffic crash on Milwaukee’s northwest side sent one vehicle smashing into a nearby apartment, injuring three people and igniting a fire that displaced at least a dozen tenants.

Authorities say the two vehicles collided about 1 a.m. Wednesday sending one into a light pole. The other vehicle crashed inside one apartment in the two story building and ignited. The fire gutted the lower unit and the apartment above it.

WISN-TV (https://bit.ly/1KQcK5N ) reports witnesses helped the driver get out of the car that landed in the apartment.
