BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A husband and wife in Bismarck have each been charged with felony aggravated for allegedly assaulting a woman, causing her to suffer permanent brain damage.

Joshua and Bethany Evans are both accused of assaulting a 28-year-old Bismarck woman.

Authorities say Joshua Evans and the woman left the Sports Page bar on July 1 and planned to return to Evans’ home. When the woman told Evans she would drive her own car, he allegedly punched her in the face.

Authorities say the woman then drove to Evan’s house, where Bethany Evans allegedly attacked the woman.

Police say the woman suffered multiple injuries, including a traumatic brain injury.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1gaOqOM ) neither Evans is in custody.

A message left at Joshua Evans home was not immediately returned.
