OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says two lanes of Interstate 44 in southwest Oklahoma City have been closed because a section of the roadway has buckled.

ODOT said Wednesday afternoon that the left and center lanes of the interstate between Southwest 29th and Southwest 15th will be closed until 6 a.m. Thursday for repairs.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says there have been no accidents as a result of the highway buckling.

Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route such as Interstate 35, or expect major delays.
